A costume that took a month to build deserves better than someone's phone at arm's length in a dark room.

The contest crowns three.
shoots everybody.

  • Halloween venues are dark, and phone cameras give up before the costume does
  • A fixed booth crops to a face and a curtain, which loses the whole build below the shoulders
  • Akari works the floor all night and frames full length, wherever the guest is standing
  • Print in hand, digital copy on their phone, posted while they are still in costume

Every kind of
Halloween night.

Office party, packed bar, house party or a family afternoon. The format does not change: the booth comes to the guest, carries its own light, and hands over a print that matches your theme.

Office Halloween Party

The one day a year the whole team is in costume. Branded prints turn that into something people keep at their desk.

Bar & Nightclub Events

Dark, loud, packed. It brings its own lighting and moves through the crowd instead of waiting for a queue to form.

House Parties

No room for a backdrop and a booth. This one takes up about as much space as a guest and never stops moving.

Family & Community Events

Trunk-or-treats, community centres, school fundraisers. Kids chase it, and nobody has to line up in the cold.

On Halloween your guests have already done the work. Here is the honest read on each option, and why a piloted photobooth is the one that captures all of it.

DJ or Live Band
What it doesKeeps the floor full and gives the night its pace, which matters more on Halloween than most events.
Where it stopsIt records nothing. The costumes walk in and walk out undocumented.
Costume Contest
What it doesFree to run, gets people committed to their outfit, and gives the night a peak moment.
Where it stopsIt celebrates three winners. Everyone else in costume goes home with nothing.
Haunted Room or Escape Game
What it doesA real attraction, and the best fit if you have the square footage and a long enough evening.
Where it stopsSmall groups, fixed capacity, and a queue. Most of your guests are waiting, not playing.
Static Photo Booth
What it doesPrints, props and a backdrop, with a genuine rush in the first hour while the costumes are fresh.
Where it stopsIt crops to a face against a curtain, it cannot leave its corner, and by the last hour it is furniture.
The one that circulates
Akari Piloted Photobooth
What it doesAn operator pilots it through the room for the full booking, framing full-length costume shots with its own lighting. Unlimited themed prints in 15 seconds, instant digital copy, full gallery to you afterward.
Why it wins the roomIt goes to the guest, so every costume gets photographed rather than the four people who queued. And we will dress it to your theme.

You stay in
costume.
We do the rest.

Setup, operation and teardown are ours. Nothing for the host to run, nothing plugged into the venue.

We Arrive Dressed for Your Theme

Tell us the theme when you book and the booth turns up in costume to match, set up and tested before your first guest.

It Works the Floor in the Dark

Our operator pilots it through the room in the roaming format, carrying its own lighting, so fog and coloured uplighting are not a problem.

Full Costume, Framed Properly

Full-length shots where the guest is standing, not a headshot against a curtain. Themed print out in 15 seconds, digital copy straight to their phone.

Full Gallery Within 48 Hours

Every costume from the night in full resolution, in a private gallery. The contest judging is a lot easier with it.

Three things a curtain
in the corner cannot do.

It Shoots the Whole Costume

A fixed booth frames head and shoulders. Most Halloween costumes live below the shoulders. Because ours is piloted, the operator backs up and takes the whole thing, in the room, with the party behind it.

It Brings Its Own Light

Halloween venues are dark on purpose. Phones grain out, a static booth is stuck with whatever is above it. This one carries its lighting with it and stays sharp wherever it goes.

We Will Put It in Costume

We have dressed the booth to match an event theme before, and it is the fastest icebreaker we have seen. It stops being equipment and becomes a guest.

Common Questions

Before you book the 31st.

What is the best entertainment for a Halloween party?+
At Halloween the costumes are the entertainment, so the best thing you can add is something that photographs them properly. A DJ keeps the floor moving but records nothing. A costume contest crowns three people and photographs nobody else. A static photo booth gets a rush early and sits empty later. A piloted photobooth circulates instead: an operator pilots it through the room for the full booking, so every costume in the party gets a proper full-length photo, a print in hand, and a digital copy on the guest's phone within seconds.
Can the booth be dressed for our Halloween theme?+
Yes. We have costumed the booth to match an event theme before and it is one of the best icebreakers we have. Tell us the theme when you book and we will bring it in costume, with a matching print overlay so the design and the booth read as one thing.
Will it photograph full costumes, not just faces?+
Yes, and this is the main reason Halloween suits this format. A fixed booth crops to a head and shoulders against a curtain. Because ours is piloted, the operator frames for the costume: full length, in the venue, with the party visible behind it. People who spent weeks on a build get a photo that actually shows it.
Do you work Halloween night itself, or only the weekend around it?+
Both, and October 31 is the single most requested date of the month. The weekend nights on either side of it book almost as fast. If your date is fixed, check availability early rather than waiting for the rest of the plan.
Does it work at a bar, nightclub or crowded house party?+
Yes. It is fully self-powered and needs no venue electricity or WiFi. It needs a reasonably flat floor and normal walking room, so a packed room is fine, and a venue with stairs between levels is worth mentioning when you book so we can plan around it.
Does it work in low light and fog?+
Yes. It carries its own lighting, so a dim room, coloured uplighting or a haze machine are all normal working conditions. Dark venues are where a booth with its own light source clearly beats a phone camera.
Can the prints match a Halloween design?+
Yes. We design a custom overlay for your event with the name, the date and a Halloween treatment, and we send a proof for approval before the night. It appears on every print and on every digital copy guests share.
Is there a limit on prints?+
No. Ultimate and Custom Build include unlimited prints for the full booked duration. Essential is digital only. There is no counter running and no point in the night where supplies run out. We arrive stocked for the whole event.
How do guests get their digital photos?+
Instantly. At the moment of capture a guest enters a phone number or email and the photo arrives within seconds, while the booth is still in front of them. Most people post it in costume, at the party, which is when it travels furthest.
How is guest contact information handled after the event?+
Phone numbers and email addresses collected at digital delivery are used solely to send that guest their photo. We do not store, sell, or market to guest contact information beyond that purpose. Contact data is removed from our systems after the post-event gallery delivery window closes. Our data practices comply with CASL and PIPEDA.
Can guests decline to give their contact details?+
Yes. Digital delivery is entirely opt-in. A guest who prefers not to share a phone number or email simply takes the instant print and carries on. No data is collected from anyone who declines, and the print is theirs either way.
When do we get the full gallery?+
Your private online gallery is delivered within 48 hours of the event, with every photo in full resolution organised chronologically. It stays accessible for 30 days, with individual and full archive download throughout. Extended hosting is available on request.
